In this blog I am going to show you step by step how to set up users under workflow user groups, and you specify the users’ number in a process sequence, such as an approver chain. A Workflow User Group is a list of users to approve requests generated by a Workflow.
Step 1: Search for Workflow user Groups from the search section.
Step 2: Click new “+” icon to set up a new workflow user group.
Step 3: A new window will open enter code and description for this workflow user group.
Step 4: In next step add the users to this group one by one and give sequence number to it.
Step 5: You can see in the below screen shot two users are been added to this group which has the sequence set as 1 for TOM and 2 for HERSH.
If we set the sequence as 1 for both the user then any one from both the user can approve the record. But in our case both TOM and HERSH required to approve as the sequence is set different for both.
Step 6: Now another workflow user group I am going to create which is for the amount greater than $1000 PO amount.
Step 7:
In this I will be adding one more user as this workflow user group is for the PO which are more than $1000 amount so in this case a senior level manger (in our case we are taking him as Admin user) will be involved to approve this PO apart from the other two users.
Step 8: In below screen shot you can see two workflow user groups have been created first will work for the PO amount which are from $1 to $9,999.00 and second one will work for the PO amount $10,000.00
So, in this blog we have created two workflow user groups as you can see in above screen shot with different number of users in each group with sequence.
In my next blog I will be showing you how to create workflow and in it how to use these workflow user groups.
