Microsoft Dynamics Navision has an easy to use and understandable user interface,with which you can focus, prioritize, and organize data. Key data is visualized so that you can better understand your business needs. The user interface has different components, which are as discussed below -

User Interface

Application menu - This menu appears at the top left corner of microsoft nav window.This menu contains the following options-

NAVIGATION PANE - You use the navigation pane to open list places. From a list place, you can open individual cards or documents. The navigation pane displays one menu at a time; you use the activity buttons at the bottom of the pane to change from one menu to another.

RIBBON STRUCTURE - The ribbon is organized into tabs and groups and contains actions that are important to the user in a given context. The ribbon is available from most page types, and it is visible by default in the Microsoft Dynamics NAV Windows client.

HOME - The Home menu has been designed for your user role, and contains your Role Center, plus all of the list places that are most frequently used in your role.




 

DEPARTMENTS - From the Departments menu, you can access all of the areas of the application for which you have permissions. If you find a useful link in Departments, you can copy it to your Role Center or Home menu.

8. Set Work Date- The work date is only changed until you close the company or until the date changes.

9. Select Launguage- Microsoft Dynamics NAV is multilanguage enabled. You can therefore change the language that the application uses.

10. Select Server- The companies that you work with can be stored in the same database or in different databases. If the company is stored in a different database, then you must select the server before you can open the company.

11. Select Company- You may have to change the company that you are working with. The companies that you work with can be stored in the same database or in different databases.

12. Customize- This option helps you customize various features available in microsoft navision.

13. Help - This option contains help topics like about this page etc.

14. Exit - This option exits microsoft navision.
