Today I am going you to share another blog related to missing site templates when I have upgrade SharePoint 2010 to SharePoint 2013. I have faced a problem for health checkup that missing site templates found during site collection.
First of all I have able to update successfully the SharePoint Site from SharePoint 2010 to SharePoint 2013 but it fails when doing the Upgrade because of missing site templates. Here is following screen shot how I fixed this issue
When I try to run the Upgrade it (clicking the “Start now” option) it fails: There are following error occurs.
Missing site template
The following sites are using templates that are not yet supported after upgrade.
SOLUTION:
Both versions of the site definitions (14 and 15) need to be present in respective hives at the time of performing upgrade.
I open the SharePoint 2013 server and performed the following step.
1- Go to SharePoint 2013 Server
2- As the Site Templates and XML files were deployed to (ie.C:\Program Files\Common Files\microsoft shared\Web Server Extensions\15).
3- Copy following file from 15 hive folder
a. C:\Program Files\Common Files\microsoft shared\Web Server Extensions\15\ TEMPLATE\1033\XML\
b. C:\Program Files\Common Files\microsoft shared\Web Server Extensions\15\ TEMPLATE\ SiteTemplates\
4- Paste the copied file under directory 14 hive folder
a. C:\Program Files\Common Files\microsoft shared\Web Server Extensions\14\ TEMPLATE\1033\XML\
b. C:\Program Files\Common Files\microsoft shared\Web Server Extensions\14\ TEMPLATE\ SiteTemplates\
5- Run the health check again and now you will see the error is not occurring any more.
After you’re successfully upgrade site in SharePoint 2013 version. It will look like below
