Executive Summary

One of our clients, ABC, is a heathcare organization in Great Britain that regulates the standards for heathcare, pharmacy technicians, and registered pharmacies in Great Britain.

ABC’s main job is to protect, promote and maintain the health, safety, and well-being of members of the public by upholding standards and public trust in pharmacy. 

Problems faced by ABC

ABC is a council that provides several latest information related to pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, or pharmacies to the public of Great
Britain. ABC is essential in ensuring that the healthcare sector is safe and effective for patients. In Great Britain, the regulatory body plays a crucial role in setting and enforcing standards for pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and registered pharmacies. Through its rigorous system of inspection and oversight, the regulator ensures that pharmacies operate ethically and follow established guidelines. 

Also, this has a feature that a problem can be reported directly to them from their website, like a complaint about a pharmacist, pharmacy technician, or pharmacy. It is the responsibility of this pharmacy council to post/upload any new information available through the judgment passed by the lawmakers related to pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, or pharmacies. So, the public can be aware of any new notice made public, like whether his license to practice is suspended or not for any pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, or pharmacy. 

So, whenever the law issues any judgment against any complaint filed by any individual for any pharmacist, pharmacy technician, or pharmacy, then the pharmacy council needs to make sure that the judgment copy needs to be uploaded to the pharmacy council website against that pharmacist, pharmacy technician, or pharmacy. This way anyone can access this information before contacting or taking any of the services of pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, or pharmacy. Suppose any complaint against them or their operating license is found suspended under the pharmacy council website. In this case, people can be aware beforehand and avoid taking services from them. The main motive of the pharmacy council website is to provide judgment details to the public of Great Britain.  

Sometimes ABC staff misses uploading the judgment on time under this pharmacy council website as this was a manual task for the staff. So, to ensure this ABC wanted a solution, a system should be available to check daily if any new judgment is available. The system must ensure that a copy of the judgment is uploaded to this website. 


Solutions ABC wanted

ABC organization wanted some solution by which they could organize all the points mentioned below and wanted a system that did not require manual human intervention.

Whenever the lawmaker passes a new judgment, one of the staff members of ABC must post it to the pharmacy council website so it can be made public. Also, the ABC staff member must check for the date, after which the judgment is to be removed by him from the pharmacy council website.

ABC Daily had a list of registration numbers to check on the pharmacy council website. Suppose any user is found with “Yes” mentioned under the column Fitness to Practice. In that case, the ABC staff person was manually required to open the judgment details, take a screenshot, and save it to another location.

Sometimes few users are left in this process of checking by the staff personnel. So, to overcome this issue. ABC required an automated system to check this process. In other words, ABC wanted a system to check for this process which can replace this manual verifying task automatically without any mistakes.


Our Solution

Here XRM Labs advised ABC, keeping their requirement in mind, to go with a system that automatically checks for the new judgment in the system and makes sure it is posted on the pharmacy council website. It takes a screenshot of them, and saves them to a folder periodically for future audit.


The following features are implemented to overcome their issues:

• The system automatically checks for the registration numbers provided by the ABC on the pharmacy council website.
• If any user is marked as “Yes” mentioned under the column Fitness to Practice, automatically click the “Yes” link. It opens the judgment details, and the system takes a screenshot of it and saves it with the timestamp in an online folder location for future audits.
• We automated the process to check whether or not a new judgment passed by the lawmaker is available to the public on this website.
• The automated process also checks for the date mentioned, after which the judgment is removed from the pharmacy council website or not.
• No manual intervention is required to upload forms & manage data. The system stores data online.
• The Benefit of this automated process is that it saves data in a database, allowing for better data integrity, validation, and consistency.
• The stored information can be easily queried, updated, and analyzed, providing a structured and reliable data source.
