One of our clients, ABC in Australia, was using an existing online timesheet system where employees were required to enter daily work details for each project assigned to them. In addition to filling out timesheet entries, employees had to clock in and out and use other standard features of the timesheet software.
However, manually entering textual descriptions of daily tasks proved time-consuming, mainly because employees often worked on the same projects for months. Many entries included common phrases that employees were required to rewrite daily, taking up much of their time to re-enter the same information daily.
Problems faced by Client:
Typing repetitive text daily while work detail entry was time-consuming and inefficient for ABC. Employees were required to re-enter the same information daily, which took up much of their time. As a result, many employees opted to skip the "work details entry" section of the timesheet altogether. This inefficiency became a significant challenge for ABC, prompting them to seek a solution from us.
